Monaco Grand Prix 2027

The 84th Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco. Here is what is confirmed, what is still provisional, and how the Principality actually behaves during race week — written from here, not from a press release.

Status

Confirmed for 2027, exact date still provisional

The Automobile Club de Monaco has confirmed the 84th edition for 2027. Formula 1 pushed back publication of its 2027 calendar, so the precise weekend is not yet official. Monaco traditionally runs at the end of May or the start of June. We update this page as soon as the calendar is confirmed.

How race week works

  • Monaco uses a four-day format, with track action starting earlier in the week than at other Grands Prix.
  • The circuit is the town: public roads close in stages, pedestrian routes are diverted, and crossing the Principality takes far longer than usual.
  • Grandstands, terraces and yacht berths are all sold separately and priced independently — there is no single ticket that covers the Principality.
  • Restaurants around the harbour and Casino square move to set menus and minimum spends for the week.
  • Accommodation across Monaco and the neighbouring coast is the first thing to sell out.

Tickets and viewing

Official grandstand tickets are sold by the Automobile Club de Monaco; hospitality, terraces and yacht packages are sold by private operators and hosts. Prices vary enormously by sightline, so decide first whether you want the harbour, the swimming-pool section, the hairpin or a balcony — then compare. Anything advertised as an official date before the calendar is published should be treated with caution.

What race week does to Monaco prices

Race week is the single biggest demand event in the Monaco calendar and it resets the rental market around it. We track asking prices and demand signals across the districts, so you can see how the market is moving rather than guessing from one listing.

Common questions

When is the Monaco Grand Prix 2027?
The Automobile Club de Monaco has confirmed the race returns in 2027 for its 84th edition, traditionally run on a late-May or early-June weekend. Formula 1 delayed its 2027 calendar announcement, so treat any specific date you see published elsewhere as provisional until the official calendar is released.
How long is race weekend?
Monaco runs across four days rather than three, with track action beginning earlier in the week than at most Grands Prix. Practice, qualifying and the race fill the weekend, and the Principality is busy for the whole week around it.
Where do you watch the Monaco Grand Prix from?
Grandstands around the harbour and the swimming-pool complex, terraces and apartment balconies overlooking the circuit, and yachts berthed in Port Hercule. Each is sold and priced separately, and the good positions go a long way in advance.
Do you need tickets to be in Monaco during race week?
No. You can be in the Principality without a ticket, but the circuit itself is fenced, roads close progressively, and paid access is required for any grandstand or trackside view.
How early should you book accommodation?
Months ahead. Hotel and rental prices in Monaco and along the coast reset sharply for race week, and availability tightens as soon as the calendar is confirmed.
