LOUIS VUITTON MEETS KEITH HARING. DAD DOESN'T UNDERSTAND. HARRIET DOES.
13 extraordinary handbags, thousands of crystals and two daughters who understand luxury fashion considerably better than Dad.

There are handbags. There are expensive handbags. And then there's Louis Vuitton deciding that a handbag should also be a piece of modern art. Welcome to the Louis Vuitton × Keith Haring collection. The luxury fashion house has unveiled 13 extraordinary handbag creations inspired by the artwork of Keith Haring, the American artist famous for his bold outlines, dancing figures, colourful characters and instantly recognisable pop-art style. And Louis Vuitton hasn't exactly been subtle. We're talking intricate artwork, extravagant detailing and one extraordinary crystal-covered design featuring approximately 12,000 crystals. Because apparently a normal handbag simply wasn't shiny enough. The collection is expected to arrive in January 2027, with individual prices yet to be publicly confirmed. Naturally, Harriet has already taken an interest. Harriet: "Dad, these are actually really cool." Dad: "They're handbags with little dancing people on them." Harriet: "It's Keith Haring. It's art." Dad: "Does the art come with somewhere to put your phone?" GG: "I like the sparkly one!" Dad: "Of course you do." And that's really the beauty of this collection. Louis Vuitton has taken an everyday object and transformed it into something closer to a collector's artwork. Some people will see extraordinary craftsmanship and a celebration of one of the world's most recognisable artists. Others will see a very expensive place to keep their lip balm. Dad is firmly in the second group. Harriet, meanwhile, has already suggested that a visit to Louis Vuitton in Monaco might be an excellent idea. Dad is beginning to regret introducing the girls to luxury shopping.
Why it's ridiculous
Because Louis Vuitton has created 13 limited-edition handbags inspired by Keith Haring, including an elaborate design covered in thousands of crystals. These aren't simply bags to carry your belongings. They're collectible artworks that happen to have handles. The craftsmanship is extraordinary, the designs are spectacular and the eventual prices could be equally impressive. Harriet sees art. GG sees sparkles. Dad sees a handbag he would be terrified to put down anywhere. And the most ridiculous part? Dad is now considering taking both daughters shopping at Louis Vuitton in Monaco. This may prove considerably more expensive than the handbags themselves.

Dad doesn't understand. They're not just handbags. They're fashion, they're art and they're completely different from normal bags. I love them. Especially the sparkly ones. And yes, I think we should go to Louis Vuitton in Monaco.
